Program Description:
This week's program was concerned with two aspects of life that are currently facing severe challenges in many countries: the physical environment and intellectual freedom. Much of the environmental pollution is due to man-made polymers. However, the recent discovery of a bacterium that can degrade Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) bottles has provided some hope that PTFE polymers may be degraded in the future. The attacks to stop independent thinking that have been occurring in Bangladesh recently is matter of grave concern and the energetic steps must be taken to find the perpetrators. This week's program was produced and presented by Sadequr Rahman.
