'ek jon probashir boshar ghor'

This week's program presented: (1) recollection of memories of distinguished Indian writer Sunil Gangopadhyay's visit to Canberra a few years ago (2) a piece of classical music, and (3) two beautiful songs. It played part of an audio recording of the reception of Sunil Gangopadhyay, regarded as one of the most prolific and effervescent writers of modern Bengali literature, where he recollected his roots in Bangladesh, shared his feelings and recited his poems. The instrumental classical music played in the program was composed and presented by renowned Indian composer Ravi Shanker. The beautiful songs, 'bhalobeshe shokhi nivrite jotone' and 'shokhi badholo badho jhulonia' were sung by popular Bangladeshi singers Kaderi Kibria and Yasmin Mustari respectively. This week's program was produced and presented by Shireen Ahmad.

This week's program presented a report of the community events held in Canberra in the last fortnight and an interview from Bangla Radio archive. The events covered are: (1) Conference on Bangladesh environment issues held in Bangladesh High Commission to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Bangladesh Environment Network, and (2) launch of the audio CD ‘ei lovino shongo tobo’ with a collection of Tagore songs sung by Bangla Radio presenter Sakiba Rahman. The interview from archive is with Bangladeshi student artist Shahabuddin while he was studying at the Canberra School of Art, interviewed by Fowzul Azim. The beautiful songs: ‘ei lovino shongo tobo’, ‘ananda dhara’, ‘moha bish-shey’ and ‘o-amar desher mati’ were sung by Canberra artist Sakiba Rahman. This week's program was produced and presented by Sadequr Rahman.

This week's program presented reading of an article and beautiful songs surrounding - 'friendship' - to mark the Friendship Day observed last week in Bangladesh and around the world.  It highlighted the qualities of good friendship and life with friends by reading an intimate article on friendship written by renowned Bangladeshi poet Nirmolendu Gun.  The friendship songs played in the program 'bondhu tomar', 'tomader majhe', 'jae din jae ekaki' and 'tumi amar ghum' were sung by popular Bangladeshi singers Krishnokoli, James, Tutul and Shoinik. This week's program was produced and presented by Murshed Haider Anjohn - from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

This week's program presented an interview with immigration advisor Mr. Amin Rahman (ozmaint@gmail.com) on - 'sponsorship' - opportunities currently available to bring relatives to Australia. He explained the different categories of sponsorship, the processes and the family members and relatives people can sponsor - various incentives from the Australian government to fill the skill shortage that opened opportunities for distant relatives as well - for both permanent and temporary visas (www.immi.gov.au). The beautiful songs played in the program 'amar notun ga-ner jonmotithi elo' and 'baba amar london chhilo, golpo shunechhi' were sung by talented Indian singer Soumyen Adhikari. This week's program was produced and presented by Ehsan Ullah.
